With this in mind please be aware that the current protocol for pet entry in to Australia is taking a minimum of 7 months. As soon as you start thinking of a move to Australia, please get in touch with our friendly team so we can talk you through the protocol and answer any questions you may have.
As of 1st April 2017 any pets coming in to the UK from a non EU country will be subject to a customs VAT fee. This fee can be avoided by applying for ‘transfer of residence relief’ through HMRC, the following link will give you all the information you need: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-transfer-of-residence-tor-relief-tor01 Approximately 10 days after submission you will be granted a unique reference number, simply forward this number across to your Pets Abroad personal travel consultant, and we will do the rest.
